This Privacy Policy explains how Script Video Teleprompter ("we," "our," or "the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about our practices.

2. Information We Don't Collect

Unlike many apps, we prioritize your privacy by design:

No script content: Your scripts are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
No video recordings: All recordings remain on your device. We never access, store, or process your videos.
No browsing history: We don't track which scripts you read or when you use the app.
No location data: We don't collect or access your location information.
No contact information: We don't access your contacts or personal identifiers unless you explicitly provide them for support.

3. Information We May Collect

To improve the App and provide essential services, we may collect limited, anonymized information:

Usage statistics: Anonymous data about app features used, session duration, and general usage patterns (via Firebase Analytics).
Performance metrics: App crashes, errors, and performance data to improve stability.
Device information: Device type, operating system version, app version for compatibility testing.

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

3.2 Subscription Information

Purchase history: Subscription status and purchase information processed through Apple's App Store (handled by Apple, not us).
RevenueCat integration: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat processes subscription status but does not have access to your scripts or recordings.

3.3 Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we collect your email address and any information you provide to resolve your issue.
This information is used solely for support purposes and is deleted when no longer needed.

4. How We Use Information

The limited information we collect is used exclusively to:

Improve app performance and fix bugs
Understand which features are most valuable to users
Provide customer support when requested
Process subscription payments (via Apple)
Comply with legal obligations

We never sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Local Storage

All scripts and recordings are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage mechanisms.
Your data is protected by iOS security features, including device encryption.
We recommend enabling device passcode and Face ID/Touch ID for additional security.

5.2 No Cloud Storage

We do not use cloud storage services for your content.
Your scripts and recordings never leave your device unless you explicitly export or share them.

5.3 iCloud Backup

If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, iOS may automatically back up app data.
This is controlled by Apple's iCloud service, not by our App.
You can manage iCloud backup settings in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage.

6. Third-Party Services

We use limited, reputable third-party services:

6.1 Firebase Analytics

Used for anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting.

7.2 Data Deletion

Deleting the App removes all local data from your device.

9. Camera and Microphone Permissions

Camera access: Required to record videos with the teleprompter. Videos are stored locally on your device.
Microphone access: Required to record audio with your videos. Audio is stored locally with your recordings.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy > Camera/Microphone.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of significant changes by:

Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
Displaying an in-app notification
Sending an email notification (if we have your email address)

Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.

11. International Data Transfers

Since your data is stored locally on your device, there are no international data transfers of your scripts or recordings. Analytics data may be processed by third-party services (Firebase, RevenueCat) which operate globally.

12. Data Retention

Scripts and recordings: Retained on your device until you delete them.
Analytics data: Retained for up to 14 months for performance analysis.
Support communications: Retained for 2 years or until issue resolution, whichever is shorter.
